Georgia: Junior Eurovision 2021 selection show ‘Ranina’ to commence on September 11
GPB, Georgia’s national broadcaster, has informed that the selection show for Junior Eurovision 2021, Ranina, will begin on September 11.
On Saturday, September 11, at 10 p.m the Ranina show will kick off in Georgia, marking the 4th season the show will be determining the country’s Junior Eurovision hopeful.
A total of 10 contestants will compete in four themed rounds while a judge panel formed by a main judges and two guest jurors in each round will award their points in four vocal and technique categories.
The five acts that recieve the highest score after the four themed rounds will advance to the semi final in which the top three acts will qualify to the final show.
Georgia debuted in the contest at Junior Eurovision in 2007 and has won the competiton 3 times: in 2008, 2011 and 2016. Last year Sandra Gandelia won the show “Ranina” and represented Georigia in Warsaw with the song “You are not alone” which finished 6th with 111 points.
