Georgia: ”Sheni gulistvis” for Iriao in Lisbon
Georgia selected internally this year and in Eurovision 2018 will be represented by the national band Iriao. Yesterday, the country’s public television revealed more information about Iriao’s song, which they will perform in Lisbon. The title of Georgia’s participation is Sheni gulistvis (For you). It is a jazz song with ethnic elements, just like Iriao’s style. The song was recorded last Friday with the assistance of a live orchestra.
The lyrics are Georgian and English, while the official presentation is expected within next weeks.The song was composed by Davit Malazonia who is also a member of the band. Iriao has already visited Portugal in order to film their postcard. Georgia competes in the second semifinals on the 10th of May.
