Georgia: Tornike Kipiani to represent the country at Eurovision 2021
One more returning act from the Eurovision 2020 class was confirmed , as Tornike Kipiani will represent Georgia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021.
Tornike Kipiani won the Georgian Idol 2019-2020 and earned the right to represent Georgia at the 65th Eurovision Song Contest scheduled to take place in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Unfortunately, this year’s contest was cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak depriving Kipiani of the chance to perform on Rotterdam Ahoy’s stage.
Today it was confirmed that Kipiani will be returning at Eurovision 2021 to represent Georgia at the next competition.
Tornike would have represented Georgia performing “Take me as i am. However, the EBU stated at the reference group that the decision on whether the participating countries can compete with the old songs will be taken in the future.
