Germany: Malik Harris selected for Eurovision 2022
Malik Harris is the big winner of German national final “Germany 12 points’‘ and will represent Germany at Eurovision 2022 with the song ”Rockstars”.
The presenter of the show was Barbara Schöneberger.
In addition, several guest stars appeared on the show. Namely Conchita Wurst (Austrian Eurovision 2014 winner), Jane Comerford (Germany 2006), Thomas Hermanns (German spokesperson 2005-2008), Bülent Ceylan (comedian), Jamala (Ukrainian Eurovision 2016 winner).
A total of six contestants compete in the German national final “Germany 12 points’‘.
The 6 contestants who took the stage tonight were:
1. Malik Harris – Rockstars
2. Maël & Jonas –I Swear To God
3.Eros Atomus – Alive
4. Emily Roberts – Soap
5. Felicia Lu – Anxiety
6. Nico Suave & Team Liebe – Hallo Welt (Hello World)
One of the highlights of the show was the appearance of Jamala! Jamala has left her country invaded by Russia, talked about the situation in her country and gave a unique interpretation of the song 1944 that had won Eurovision 2016.
The result of the national final was determined solely by the public. 50% of the public vote came from voting on the radio while the remaining 50% from televoting during the show.
Voting on the radio had already started on Monday and ended 1 minute before the live show. The results of the voting on the radio were revealed by the following representatives of the radio:

The points of televoting were added, bringing Malik Harris to the first place of the scoreboard, thus representing Germany at Eurovision 2022 in Turin. The final ranking is:
Germany in Eurovision
Germany is one of the seven countries that had its first participation back in 1956.
Germany has won the contest two times in 1982 with Nicole and the song ”Ein bißchen Frieden” and in 2010 with Lena and the song ”Satellite”.
In 2021 Germany represented by Jendrik Sigwart who sang ”I Don’t Feel Hat” which finished 25th place with only 3 points.
