Germany: Pauline to Junior Eurovision 2021
Pauline has been selected to represent Germany at Junior Eurovision 2021 after winning the national final with her song “Imagine Us”.
Pauline won the German JESC national final Junior ESC – Wer fährt nach Paris? that took place in the Central Club in Erfurt.
The show was presented by Jessica Schöne and Ben Blümel, while the jury that commneted on the competing performances made up by Gabriel Kelly, Selina Mour and Hannah.
The participants of the national final were:
- Marta – “Imagine Us”
- Pauline – “Imagine Us”
- Emilie – “Imagine Us”
- Marta – “Gut so”
- Pauline – “Hausboot”
- Emilie – “Gut so”
The outcome was decided 100% by the public, which voted online in two rounds. During the first round the act to to fly to Paris was selected while in the second round was determined the song. Each of the three competing acts performed two potential entries choosing out of three. Pauline won the first round of the online voting while the song ‘Imagine Us’ was selected in the second round as the next German JESC entry.
Last year was Germany’s debut appearance in the competition. The nation was represened by Susan with the song “Stronger With You” which finished in 12th place with 66 points.
