Germany: The guest stars of the national final “Unser Lied für Israel”
As we already know that 7 acts will compete in the upcoming German Eurovision 2019 national final Unser Lied für Israel, NDR confirmed today the guest stars of the show while the tickets have gone on sale.
Just a week ago the national broadcaster had unveiled the participants and dates of Germany’s national final Unser Lied für Israel. Today NDR with a new press release confirmed which acts will appear as guests in the national final’s show, while the tickets of the show are on sale on the website tvtickets.de
THE GUEST STARS
How can a national final can take place without having present last year’s winner and German representative, Michael Schulte who represented the country with the song You let me walk alone giving giving Germany its best results after Lena’s victory in 2010, with his 4th placing.
Additionally, present will be the rock group Revolverheld. The group was formed in 2002 and it enjoys high popularity in the country until nowadays.
The guest list is completed with the 72 yo singe Udo Lindenberg, whose latest song Wir ziehen in den Frieden topped the german charts.
THE EUROVISION STORY SO FAR
Germany is one of the Big-5 countries and qualify in Eurovision directly in the final. The country has participated in every edition of the Eurovision Song Contest since 1956, with one year’s exception back in 1996. The country has won the competition twice, namely in 1982 and 2010.
In 2018 Germany placed 4th in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon with Michael Schulte’s You let me walk alone.
