Germany: These are the 6 finalists of Unser Lied für Israel
The six finalists that will compete in the German national final Unser Lied für Israel which will detemine the German Eurovision 2019 entry.
The six acts that will battle for the golden ticket to Tel Aviv and the forthcoming Eurovision Song Cotest are: Aly Ryan, BB Thomaz, Linus Bruhn, Gregor Hägele, lilly among clouds, Makeda. The 6 artists were decided by two juries, one formed by 100 Eurovision fan and one by 20 experts. The two jury panels concluded in the above six names after shortlisting a total number of 965 candidates. Three came from the Workshop which ran for the German Eurovision national selection.
However, there is a great chance that this will not be the only finalists as the national broadcaster, NDR is in touch with other acts in order to compete.
The German nation final Unser Lied für Israel is set to take place in February 2019 o. Host of the show will be Barbara Schöneberger alongside with Linda Zervakis.

Aly Ryan
She is born in Germany but based in the States so far. She specalizes in Indie pop music and her biggest hit so far is the song Νο Parachute.
BB Thomaz
BB Thomaz left excellent impressions to the judges of The Voice of Germany 2017 during her blind audition performance of “Bang Bang”. The specific performance has more then 3 million voices on YouTube, while she finished 4th in the competition. The female act has collaborated with Grammy nominated producer Kyle K2 Stewart II .
Linus Bruhn
He participated in the German edition The Voice 2015 while he has published several covers on his youtube channel. Recentrly he released his new single entitled Pink Glasses.
Gregor Hagele
Gregor participated in the German The Voice 2017 where he reached the semi final. He too has several covers on his Youtube channel.
Lilly among clouds
Known also as Elisabeth Brüchner for performing english language songs . In 2015 she releasd the first EP and in 2017 followed her first album. This year she released her latest single Wasting My Time.
Makeda
Makeda is the leadind vocalist of the group Steal A Taxi and was one of the pontential contestants for last year’s German national final. Her bio includes activity in the mucial theatre.
THE EUROVISION STORY SO FAR
Germany is one of the Big-5 countries and qualify in Eurovision directly in the final. The country has participated in every edition of the Eurovision Song Contest since 1956, with one year’s exception back in 1996. The country has won the competition twice, namely in 1982 and 2010.
In 2018 Germany placed 4th in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon with Michael Schulte‘s You let me walk alone.
