Greece: Stefania drops new single ‘Friday’; ESC 2021 entry reported to go public in November
Stefania, Greece’s Eurovision 2020/2021 hopeful has released her new single titled ‘Friday’, the second ESC 2020 candidate song for Greece.
Back in February Stefania Liberakakis, was internally selected by the Greek broadcaster, ERT, to represent the country at Eurovision 2020 with her entry Superg!rl. Composers of the song were Dimitris Kontopoulos and Arcade while the team of its lyricists included Dimitris Kontopoulos, Arcade and Sharon Vaughn . The song was chosen by ERT’s selection committee over the song that has been recently released by Stefania titled ‘Friday’.\
During the covid-19 quarantine period, Stefania prepared the brand new dynamic pop single with lyrics by John Ballard, music by Dimitris Kontopoulos and production by Arcade. The song conveys summer vibes urging the audience to dance to it rhythm.
Along with the song its official music video has been released. The clip was directed by Pim Verlat and produced by Peter Natrop and Spiros Chalos. ‘Friday”s video clip has been filmed in The Hague, Netherlands
Eurovision 2021 Song
Meanwhile local media report that Stefania’s new song for Eurovision 2021 has already been written. Stefania will continue her collaboration with Dimitris Kontopoulos who has her new ESC song ready and waits for the young talented act to record it in Athens. According to the same report ERT is expected to unveil the Greek ESC 2021 entry in November.
