Israel: HaKokhav HaBa L’Eurovizion 1st semi final results; First two finalists determined
The first semi final of HaKokhav HaBa L’Eurovizion (The Next Star), took place this evening and determined the first two finalists of Israel’s national selection for Eurovision 2020.
In tonight’s semi final round we saw the first set of 4 acts out of 8, compete for the two spots leading to the final . These were:
- Eden Alene
- Ella-Lee Lahav
- Lali Kolishkin
- Ohad Shragai
The semi final consisted of two rounds. During the first round the contestants competed in duels before the judges ( Static & Ben-El Tavori, Keren Peles, Shiri Maimon (Israel 2005) , Assaf Amdursky and Itay Levy), and the audience that was present in the studio. The votes of the jury and audience selected two acts that passed to the next round while the jury save one more act from the non qualfiers.
- Eden Alene (64% – saved by the jury)
- Ella-Lee Lahav (91%)
- Lali Kolishkin (80%)
After the first round, the 3 candidates performed a song of their choice and the two who received the most votes from the audience and the jury, won the ticket the grand final . Below follow the two acts that made it to the grand final:
