Israel: The six candidates in the semi-final of “The Next Star 2018”

The two previous days, the quarter-final of Israel’s national election for Eurovision 2018, «The Next Star» took place. At this stage of the contest, the 8 candidates who qualified were divided into 4 duels. From each duel, the one with the highest percentage of positive votes from the viewers and  a jury, consisting of Static & Ben-El Tavori, Keren Peles, Harel Skaat and Assaf Amdursky, qualified to the next round. Then, the 4 failed were re-splitted into duels, 2 this time, where the one who scored the highest percentage of positive votes qualified to the next stage.

Quarter-Final Results:

1st round of voting

1. Eden Meiri – Lipol 71% – Netta Barzilai – Wannabe 90%
2. Chen Aharoni – Rokedet 71% – Adva Omer – Lomedet lalechet 44%
3. Ravit Batashvili – Al tidag 56% – Riki Ben Ari – Ani haya li mi’yom le’yom 76%
4. Jonathan Mergui – Versace on the Floor 78% – Howie Danao – Habachor habayshan al psanter 61%

2nd round of voting

1. Howie Danao – Believer 85% – Adva Omer – Ad matai elohay 58%
2. Ravit Batashvili – El ha’olam shelach 77% – Eden Meiri – Va’ani kore lach 84%

So, the final 6 qualifiers are:
