Israel: Three more qualifiers from the 3rd round-Show 2 of HaKokhav HaBa L’Eurovizion
The 2nd show of the 3rd round of HaKokhav HaBa L’Eurovizion was broadcast yesterday, as the Israeli edition of The Next Star and national selection format for Eurovision 2019 is unfolding every week.
THE THIRD STAGE PROCESS
During the 3rd stage the 20 qualifiers from the four shows of the 2nd stage( 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th) performed in Duels covers of known songs before the 4 member jury formed by: Assaf Amdursky, Harel Skaat – (Eurovision 2010), Keren Peles, Shiri Maimon – (Eurovision 2005) , Static & Ben El Tavori. In order to qualify to the next round each participant had to beat the other constestant of the duel marking a higher percentage of votes.
A total of 6 candidates got on stage during the 2nd show of the 3rd round of the competition, to perform in 3 duels. Lets see their performances and which ones managed to qualify to the next round:
Naama Gali Cohen – Rockabye (64%) VS Daniel Barzilai – Ish Shel Laila (80%)
Shefita – Can’t Stop the feeling (41%) VS Tay – Radioactive (89%)
Kobi Merimi – Mad World (57%) VS Eliat Eliyahu – Stone Cold (51%)
Therefore Daniel Barzilai, η Tay and Kobi Merimi were the three qualifiers that made it to the next stage of the show. However the ones eliminated will have a second chance to compete at the end of the 3rd stage for a wildcard. The competition continues with the rest 8 acts that will battle in duels in the following shows.
