Italy: Mahmood & Blanco will appear in 9th place in the Grand final
Mahmood and Blanco will appear in 9th place in the grand final on May 14, 2022 in Turin.
Today, the meeting of the Head of Delegation, the countries that will take part in the 66th Eurovision Song Contest, took place.
In addition to the issues discussed and concerning the organization of Eurovision 2022, there was also a draw for the order of appearance of Italy, which as an organizing country automatically has a place in the Final on Saturday, May 14th.
The draw was random and Italy’s place in the Eurovision Grand Final on Saturday 14 May 2022 will be the 9th.
Italy in this year’s competition will be represented by Mahmood and Blanco with the song “Brividi”.

Italy in Eurovision
Italy is one of the seven countries that had its first participation back in 1956.
After a 14-year absence from 1998 and on, the country returned to the contest in 2011.
Italy has won the contest twice in 1964 with Gigliola Cinquetti and the song “Non ho l’età” and in 1990 with Toto Cutugno and the song “Insieme: 1992”.
In 2021 the rock band Maneskin with their song ‘Zitti e Buoni’ won the contest with 524 points in total.
