Italy: Melissa & Marco to Junior Eurovision 2018 with their song “What is love”
Tha Italian national broadcaster, RAI, announced today that the duet Melissa & Marco will be the ones to represent Italy in the upcoming Junior Eurovision 2018 next month in Belarus. Tne duo will be preforming on the Minsk Arena stage the song What Is Love. This is the first time that Italy will be represented by a male and female duet at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
Italy in Junior Eurovision
Italy has participated in Junior Eurovision since 2014 when Vincenzo Cantiello and his entry Tu primo grande amore, achieved victory on the country’s debut year. In 2015 Italy scored its worst results finishing in the 16th position. Last year the coutry was represented by Maria Iside Fiore who came 11th in Tbilisi.
