Italy: RAI confirms Junior Eurovision 2021 participation
The Italian national broadcaster, RAI, has confirmed that they wil take part in the 19th edition of Junior Eurovision.
Despite initial information that wanted Italy not being present at Junior Eurovision 2021, as explained by the director of Rai Ragazzi – Luca Milano to Eurofestivalnews, eventually the Italian broadcaster decided to join the list of participating countries.
The Italian hopeful will be presented in November along with the respective competing entry. RAI also confirmed that the contest will be aired live by Rai Gulp and Rai Play on the afternoon of Sunday 19 December.
The country mades its first participation in the competition in the 2014 edition in Malta and hasn’t missed an edition since then apart from the 2020 one due to the covid-19 pandemic. In their last participation, in 2019, Marta Viola with “La Voce Della Terra” represented Italy at Gliwice-Silesia, finishing 7th in the final show.
