Italy: RAI reveals the “Area SanRemo” 25 candidate acts for Sanremo Giovani festival
The Italian broadcaster revealed the 25 acts from the Area San Remo academy that managed to qualify to the next round of auditions for the San Remo Giovani festival.
Today RAI unveiled the 25 acts from the Area San Remo Academy audition that were held 8-10 November. Although initially 24 acts were to be chosen the committee decided to give to a chance to one more act. The auditions included 76 candidates and took place at Teatro Dell’ Opera at San Remo Casino. From these 25 acts , a total of 6 artists compete in the San Remo Giovani Festival. The final audition for the last six spots is scheduled to take place on November 24.
The 25 acts and the song titles for the last audition at the Area San Remo Academy are: :

On the other just a week before the Italian broadcaster had revealed the 69 candidate acts that will perform before the Music Committee which consists of artistic director of the festival and deputy director in RAI1 Claudio Baglioni, producer Massimo Giuliano, director and author Massimo Martelli, TV director Duccio Forzano, and the internationally recognised music producer Geoff Westley. From these auditions a total of 18 spots in the San Remo Giovani will be determined. The 18 acts will be determined on November 12.
The 24 participants during the three nights of SanRemo Giovani will have the opportunity to introduce themselves and their entries during the first two days while in the last day they will compete each other. The two first winners will join the other big names of the italian music scene in Sanremo Festival, where they will compete on Teatro Ariston stage for the trophy which leads to Eurovision 2019. Sanremo festival is set to take place at Teatro Ariston from 5 to 9 February 2019.
