Italy: Sanremo 2019 fourth night song performances and Best Duet Award

The 4th show of Sanremo 2019 took place last evening during which the 24 contestants took again the stage to perform this time their entries in collaboration with other guest artists.

The 4th show had some  voting format changes, as the public voting’s share rised to 50%, the press jury’s remained 30%  while the demoscopic jury (composed of a sample of 300 music fans) was replaced by an experts jury with a 20% share on the results.  The experts jury was formed by : Mauro Pagani , Ferzan Özpetek, Camila Raznovich, Claudia Pandolfi, Elena Sofia Ricci, Beppe Severgnini, Serena Dandini και Joe Bastianich. 

Differently from the previous 3 nights we didn’t have any revelation of scores today with the three colored categories on the scoreboard but an award was handed to the best collaboration of the night, which was that of Motta & Nada 

The Sanremo marathon reaches its end on Saturday 9 February, with the 24 contestants performing their entries for a last time on stage. The voting format reamains the same as in the 4th night show . The overall score will be calculated based on the average points from all 5 days of the festival , with the 3 top acts qualifying in a Superfinal round.  During the Superfinal round the 3 acts will perform once again their song  and the final result will be determined 50% by televoting, 20% press jury, while the demoscopic jury (composed of a sample of 300 music fans) returns contributing to the resutls with a 30% share.

The winners has the right to represent the country in Eurovision. In case of a refusal RAI can choose the acts it considers most appropriate to represent Italy in Eurovision 2019.
