Italy: Sanremo 4th night results. Ultimo the big winner of Nuove Proposte.

With successive surprises on the scoreboard, continued the 68th edition of Sanremo Festival. The contestants of the 20 Campioni category performed for the 3rd time their entries , in duets this time, while the final of the Nuove Proposte category took place declaring as winner  Ultimo with his song Il Ballo Delle Incertezze.

A crucial night for the festival ’cause apart from the final in the category of new artists, it was significant concerning the development of the voting, giving us a more clear picture of where things are heading. Milva was honored with an award for her artistic career and as former Sanremo participant many times. Guests of the night were  Gianna Nannini and Piero Pelù.

Host of the festival was the artistic director Claudio Baglioni, alongside with Michelle Hunziker and Pierfrancesco Favino.

The Final of Nuove Proposte

The 8 acts of the category performed for the second time their entries. The voting process differed from the previous three nights as in the final the outcome was determined by a 50% audience voting, 30% press jury and the rest 20% by a special jury of experts.

The competing acts were the following:

• Lorenzo Baglioni – Il congiuntivo
• Giulia Casieri – Come stai
• Mirkoeilcane – Stiamo tutti bene
• Alice Caioli – Specchi rotti
• Mudimbi – Il mago
• Eva – Cosa ti salverà
• Ultimo – Il ballo delle incertezze
• Leonardo Monteiro – Bianca

After the triple voting and in combination with the voting after their first performance, big winner of the category was  Ultimo with his song Il Ballo Delle Incertezze.

The jury award Mia Martini went to  “Mirkoeilcane”, while the award “Lucio Dalla” was given Alice Caioli.

A honorable 2nd place for  Mirkoeilcane, while  Mudimbi , considered the big favorite , ended up 3rd!

 Campioni category acts performed in duets.

Although the recent years duets were excluded from the Sanremo Festival and replaced by the night of  cover songs, Claudio Baglioni brought them back in the contesting night. The 20 Campioni performed their entries for the 3rd time , this time alongside with an popular Italian or foreign singer.

Among those who were invited to participate in one of the duels were  Alice, Arisa, Michele Bravi, Paola Turci, Giusy Ferreri, Marco Masini, Sergio Cammariere, Neri per Caso and Simone Cristicchi.

The voting process in the main competing category was same as in η Nuove Proposte. 50% public, 30% press jury and a 20% from a special jury of experts.

The Results

After a combination of votes coming from  50% televoting, 30% press jury and 20% experts jury, the voting will be added to the previous nights votes so as to conclude in the final result.

These are the votes that the jury of experts cast (20%):

• Blue Zone: Max Gazzè – Luca Barbarossa – Giovanni Caccamo – Ermal Meta e Fabrizio Moro – Ron – Vanoni – Diodato e Roy Paci
• Yellow Zone: Le vibrazioni – Annalisa – The Kolors – Enzo Avitabile con Peppe Servillo – Red Canzian – Lo Stato Sociale
• Red Zone: Decibel – Roby Facchinetti e Riccardo Fogli – Noemi – Renzo Rubino – Mario Biondi – Elio e le Storie Tese – Nina Zilli

*In the blue zone we see the ones that are leading the voting, the yellow those in the middle and in the red those acts left on the last placed.

Only Max Gazze,  Ermal Meta & Frabrizio Moro and Ron, managed to maintain their placing in the blue zone for a thried successive night. Close to them are Lo Stato Sociale and Ornella Vanoni moving achieving a two night placing in the blue zone and one night in the yellow one.
