Italy: Sanremo festival 2020 fourth night’s performances and results

Just one night before the grand final as Sanremo 2020 unfolded its 4th night show at  Teatro Ariston during which the 24 acts performed for a second time their entries.

The show’s host Amadeus presented the show alongside with   Antonella Clerici and Francesca Sofia Novello. The night opened with the joint ranking of the first three evenings of the event. In the first two evenings the only demoscopic jury turned around , while last night, judging the interpretation of the covers were the members of the orchestra and choir of the Festival .

NUOVE PROPOSTE CATEGORY

Early in the evening Leo Gassmann with his entry Vai bene così won the Nuove proposte category.  Gassman won the duel against Fasma and then had the chance to win over Tecla Insolia , who had previously won against Marco Sentieri .The voting took place with a mixed system: Demoscopic Jury (33%), Press Jury, TV, Radio and Web (33%) and Televoting (34%) .

Leo Gassmann was born in Rome on November 22, 1998. A family of artists, and a demanding surname. At the age of 9 he entered the academy of Santa Cecilia and studied classical guitar and solfeggio for five years. After completing his classical studies, he decided to change and start studying singing; still today he takes lessons to improve himself and his music. At the age of 14 Leo wins an interpreter competition organized by Marco Rinalduzzi, a well-known guitarist and producer on the national scene.

At the age of 19 Leo is selected from among the twelve competitors of “X Factor 12” reaching the semifinal and showing a singular talent in writing and voice. During his career in the program, the young Roman artist had the opportunity to rewrite in Italian an unpublished piece by Lewis Capaldi, entitled “Piume”, having a great response in the eyes of the public. After leaving the program, Leo releases two songs entitled “What will become of us?” And “Tell me where you are”, showing an attachment to Italian songwriting mixed with typically Anglo-American sounds.
