Junior Eurovision 2018: The date and the host city was announced

Yesterday, it was  announced that the 16th Eurovision Junior Song Contest will be held on 25th of November in Minsk,the capital city of Belarus.

The contest will be held at the Minsk Arena. This is the second year the contest will take place at this stage. The previous one was in 2010.

In addition, the slogan was announced for this year’s contest,which is #LightUp.

The logo is a star formed  of vertically reversed sound waves. The inspiration of  the logo comes from the artistic and creative nature of the participants, who will do something very magical on the stage, like a sky of stars.

Jon Ola Sand, head of EBU’s Live Events, said”

“It is a great pleasure for us to work this year with the BTRC and we believe they will make a great show. This will be the 16th Junior song contest and we are sure that the children will prove their musical talent in the best way  for another year”.

Last year, the contest was held in Tbilisi, Georgia, and Russia was the great winner:
