Junior Eurovision 2018: Ukraine will be the 20th country to participate in Minsk
Just a couple of days before EBU had released the official list of participating countries for the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest next November in Minsk, Belarus. Today EBU added one more country on that list, Ukraine, raising the total number of participating countries to the record number of 20! The previous higher number of countries was back in 2004 with 18 competing countries then.
So the total list of this year’s 20 competing countries has developed as following:

- Australia
- Belarus
- France
- FYR. Macedonia
- Georgia
- Ireland
- Israel
- Italy
- Kazakhstan
- Malta
- Poland
- Portugal
- Russia
- Serbia
- The Netherlands

Ukraine’s JESC Story So FAR
Ukraine has been participating in the Junior Eurovision since 2006. In 2012 the country was crowned winner with Anastasiya Petryk and her song Nebo and has achieved two 2nd placings in 2008 and 2013. The country has hosted the contest twice , in 2009 and 2013.
Lets remember the country’s winning entry back in 2012 with Anastasiya:
