Junior Eurovision 2019: Is Krakow the host city?
During an interview to TVP Info, EBU’s General Director revealed that Krakow will be the next Junior Eurovision host city. When he was asked about the competition, Mr Curran stated:
This competition is growing year by year in terms of audience and number of participants, but also for quality. This is a very important event. We are constantly wondering how to attract young customers, and here we have a platform through which we can gain millions, and even tens of millions of young recipients all over Europe. This is a fantastic event that will take place in Krakow and I can not wait, the more that I will definitely be there.
Following the Noel Curran’s statements the Polish broadcaster ,TVP, denied such decision and released a statement saying:
Talks about the place where Junior Eurovision 2019 will take place are still going on. The city of Krakow is one of several candidates for the host of the event, other cities are also taken into account.
It seem as we will have to wait some weeks more in order to find out the next JESC 2019 host city. However so far some countries have already expressed interest in the next Junior Eurovision :
- Armenia
- Australia
- France
- Georgia
- Kazakhstan
- Netherlands
- Poland (Host country)
