Kazakhstan: A National final on November 6 to select the Junior Eurovision 2021 act

Kazakhstan will be holding a national final in order to select the country’s Junior Eurovision 2021 hopeful and entry.
During a press conference today held at he headquarters of the Central Communications Service under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Nur-Sultan it was confirmed that Kazakhstan will be determining its Junior Eurovision 2021 act through a national final scheduled for November 6, 2021.
The press conference attended the following people:
- Yerlan Bekhhozhin – Khabar Agency’s head of board
- Aida Tleukhan – Adam Media’s general producer
- Khamit Shangaliev – The composer of Kazakh Junior Eurovision entries in 2019 and 2020
- Yerzhan Maxim – Kazakhstan’s Junior Eurovision 2019 representative
- Karakat Bashanova – Kazakhstan’s Junior Eurovision 2020 act
Khabar has released the rules and regulations of the upcoming national final and interested acts should send in their applications until October 6, 2021.
Once the submission period concludes the submitted entries will be assessed and from October 8 until 12 an online voting will take place. The final outcome of the selection will be determined through the national final show on November 6.
The story so far
Kazakhstan competed for the first time at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2018 after EBU’s invitation to broadcaster, Khabar Agency, to join the competition.
Last year Karakat Bashanova won the national final and represented the country with her song ‘Forever’ in Warsaw, Poland achieving to finish 2nd with 152 points in the overall score.
