Latvia 2017: Supernova, Artists and Songs
The Latvian broadcaster (LTV) will organize the National Final Supernova 2017 in order to select the Latvian entry for the 2017 contest in Kiev, Ukraine.
The Latvian broadcaster (LTV) received 168 tracks from 89 artists.
In addition 22 songs have been selected to compete in the national final, which will consist of four shows: two heats, one semi-final and a final. Four songs will ultimately qualify to compete in the final on 26 February 2017 where a public vote will exclusively select the winner.
The artists that will take part in Supernova 2017 were revealed at a press conference from Latvian broadcaster (LTV) today.

- Lauris Valters – “Magic Years”
- Linda Leen – “Who Is In Charge”
- Markus Riva – “Dynamite”
- Miks Dukurs – “Spiritual Priest”
- Miks Galvanovskis – “Runaway”
- My Radiant You – “All I Know”
- Pikaso – “U (can Keep Your Cools)”
- Rock’n’Berries – “Feel the Love”
- Santa Da?elevica – “Your Breath”
- THE HiQ – “Taju Ot Lyubvi”
- The Ludvig – “I’m In Love With You”
- Toms Kalderauskis – “We Won’t Back Down”

The dates for the Supernova 2017 are set as following:
- Show tracks – 22 January
- Show tracks – 29 January
- Heat 1 – February 5
- Heat 2 – February 12
- Semi – February 19
- Final – February 26
Last year, Latvia reached the Grand Final with Justs and him song ‘’Heartbeat’’ (15th place).
