Latvia: Justs wins Supernova with his ‘Heartbeat’

Latvia’s national selection show Supernova 2016 came to an end. Justs Sirmais has won with the song ‘Heartbeat‘ and he will represent Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. After two heats and one semi-final, Justs succeeded in topping the vote in each show. ‘Heartbeat’ was written by last year’s Latvian Eurovision Song Contest participant, Aminata.

Aminata’s ‘Love injected’, brought Latvia their highest ever points total in the competition, scoring 186 and a 6th place in the contest, the highest since 2005.
