Lithuania: LRT will take part in Eurovision 2022
Lithuania’s national broadcaster, LRT, has confirmed that it will take part in next year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Italy.
LRT has officially confirmed to ESCToday that the country will be present at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Italy next year.
The Lithuania’s national broadcaster, LRT, will probably remain in the national form of choice used in previous years. However, more details on the Lithuania’s selection for Eurovision 2022 are expected in the coming weeks.
Lithuania in Eurovision
Lithuania has been taking part in the Eurovision Song contest since 1994 and has not won the competition to date.
Best placing so far was in 2006 with LT United with their song “We are the winners” which finished 6th in the final.
This year Lithuania represented by the band The Roop who sang “Discoteque” which finished 8th place with 220 points.
