Lithuania: The Roop drop their ESC 2021 national final song “Discoteque“

The Roop, Lithuania’s ESC 2020 hopefuls and finalists in Pabandom iš naujo 2021 have released their national final entry “Discoteque”.
The Roop won last year Lithuania’s national selection with their song “On Fire” and were set to represent the nation in Rotterdam being fans’ and bookies favourite. Unfortunately their Eurovision journey never reached its destination as the contest was cancelled due to the covid-19 pandemic
Now The Roop return in this year’s national selection and ambition to repeat their victorious participation and regain the right to fly to Rotterdam with their new entry titled “Discoteque”. Commenting on their new music proposal for Eurovision 2021 the group says:
“The new song “Discoteque” is not a copy of “On Fire”. That’s what we wanted the least. However, one thing that is in common (apart from band members) is that both sound somewhat unusual. And we love it!”
The Roop will be apearing in Heat 2 of this year’s national selection with an energetic performance expected on stage. As they have already shared through their instagram account that dancers Migle and Marijanas, who danced with the group in 2020, will join them for “Discoteque”.
