Lithuania: Three new participants added and last minute changes in Eurovizijos Atranka 2019
Although the official period of submissions is over the Lithuanian national final, Eurovizijos Atranka 2019, saw some last minute changes that had to do with additions on the contestants’ list and songs.
After the withdrawal of Algirdas Daumantas Ciūnys , the national selection welcomes three new participants: the group “120”, Linas Jakštys and Sasha Song with Dovilė.
THE GROUP “120”
The producer of the group “120” Saulius Urbonavičius-Samas, stated that it was entirely the member’s decision to participate in the national final, while their song is an absolutely Lithuanian song which was written by themselves and the music composed in collaboration with Deivydas Zvonkus. The group “120” won last year’s Lithuanian X Factor and since then has lots of fans supporting them.
Sasha Song
Sasha Song, had represented the country back in 2009 with his song Love and had finished 23rd . This time he won’t perform along but alongside with Dovile the entry“Bad Boy”.
In addition, Linas Jakštys will take part in the national selection with her song “Criminal Love”, while Jurgis Didžiulis won’t appear alone on stage but together with Eurovision star, Erica Jennings to perfrom the song “SING!”. Last year Erica had withdrawn from the national selection where she took part with her song “The Truth”.
According to Eurovizijos Atranka producer and head of delegation Audrius Giržadas, these latest additions do not contradict the national selection’s rules. After these changes the total number of participants reached to 51. The whole list of this year’s participant has developed as following:
