Malta: Finally WOW for Ira Losco
Malta was one of the first countries that chose their entry since January. The runner up in 2002 in Tallin, Ira Losco was the winner of the National Final of her country and Ira will represent her Nation for the second time. Ira won with her song Chameleon and she was supposed to sing that song in Sweden in May.
Due to low acceptance of the Eurovision Fans, Ira and TVM, were considering a change of the song. Today the new song premiered and it is called WOW ( Walk On Water).
Ira and TVM listened and chose WOW between 10 songs (9 new and 1 new version of Chameleon). The writting team of WOW is mostly Swedish: Lisa Desmond, Tim Larsson, Tobias Lundgren, Molly Pettersson Hammar and Ira Losco herself. Among the writters we can see the name of Molly Pettersson Hammar. In 2015 and 2016 Molly participated in the Melodifestivalen in order to represent Sweden in ESC. This year, she managed to reach the second chance show and in 2015 she was disqualified at the semi-final.
