Malta: The six “Overs”(25+) that qualified to the Judges’ Houses round on X-factor Malta
As soon as the Bootcamp stage was over, the X-factor Malta, through which the country will select its Eurovision 2020 act, moved on to the second round of the Chair Challenge phase of the show. Today it was the Overs’ category (25+0 to compete for the six spots.
Previous Sunday night Chair Challenge stage continued with the Boys’ category. After the girls category and the Groups’ team the Chair Challenge moved on the the Boys’ team and the six boys that that will qualify to the Judges’ houses, where the 3 final acts will win the ticket to the Live Shows. In this Chair Challenge round the Overs (25+) of Alexandra Alden ’s team took the stage in order to fill in one of the six chairs and gain the right to move on to the Judges’ Houses stage.
The “Overs” that gave the battle for one of the six chairs were:Βenjamin Attard, Celine Agius, Chantal Catania, Derrick Schembri, Edward Abdilla, Francesca Borg, Jozi, Kersten Graham, Mark Morales, Matthew Vassallo, Michelle Ellul, Paul Anthony and Rhys Fiteni.
The six Overs that managed to win and maintain their chair qualifying to the next round are:
- Kersten Graham (Suspicious Minds – Elvis Presley)
- Chantal Catania (You Had Me – Joss Stone)
- Paul Cuschieri (Original Song)
- Celine Agius (Back To Black – Amy Winehouse)
- Edward Abdilla (Believer – Imagine Dragons)
- Jozi (Take Me To Church – Hozier)
This was tha last Chair Challenge show and the remaining act will have to face now their mentors in Jundges’ Houses phase in order to win one of the three spots in each team that lead to the live shows.
