Marco Mengoni wins MTV EMA award
Marco Mengoni is the most successful Italian pop singer of the moment. Proof is the fact that the Italian representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013, has won best European act at the MTV EMA awards beating famous European artists like Little Mix and Eurovision acts like Lena and Daniel Kajmakoski. This is Marco’s third award at the MTV EMAs after picking up the best European act in 2010 and the best Southern European act in 2013. Since 2010 he has won Best Italian Act three times. His win made him the first artist to win the award twice.
Marco Mengoni represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013. Being given the chance to perform for one of the big six, Marco was one of the participants in the grand final in Malmo and he finished 7th with 126 points.
