Moldova 2018: Get to know DoReDos
DoReDos is the group that will represent Moldavia at 63rd Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon with the cheerful song “My lucky day”.
The group was formed in September 2011, but with a different name. Initially, the band was named “Art Band” and its composition was varied. The members of the band began gaining fame, organizing various events in the capital of the country, but also actively participating in various contests. In 2015, the name of the band changed to “DoReDos”. Today, members of the band are: Marina Dubitiet (31), Eugene Andrianov (30) and Sergiu Mita (32). All three comefrom Ribnita.
DoReDos had made many tours in Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, Australia and Egypt. At the same time, they have tried their musical talents in several talent contests. “Slaveanskii Bazar”, “Gheorghe Grigoriu” and “Novaia Volna” are some of them.
In 2016 they participated in “ X Factor Romania” where they qualified to the final.The big honor for the band came at the contest “Novaia Volna 2017”, where they were awarded by the President of the country himself on 20 September 2017. Furthermore, they have participated three times in the national selection for Eurovision, with the last time being successful.
In 2015 and 2016, DoReDos qualified to the final of the national final and this year won the contest. They will perform the song “My Lucky Day”, written by Russian artist Philip Kirkorkov, who is also one of the band’s biggest fans.
