Moldova: Natalia Gordienko to sing “Sugar” at Eurovision 2021

Moldova’s Eurovision 2021 representative, Natalia Gordienko has revealed that her entry for Rotterdam is titled “Sugar”.
Natalia Gordienko, who will be defending Moldova’s color at the 65th Eurovision Sog Contest treated the fans a “sweet” surprise! The entry she will be singing in Rotterdam Ahoy next May is titled “Sugar”.
The Moldovan act revealed through her instagram account the title of her Eurovision entry stating the following:
“Life is short – break the rules, say goodbay quickly, laugh uncontrollably, kiss slowly & love sincerely! Happy Valentine’s day! And get ready to welcome spring with a lot of “SUGAR” in your life’s!”
The song and its music video which are expected to go public in March, gather behind them the so called ‘Dream Team’ members.Namely the music is signed by Dimitris Kontopoulos and Philipp Kirkorov, the lyrics have been penned by Sharon Vaughn, while the artistic director is Fokas Evaggelinos. The team completes Victoria Chalkiti as the vocal coach and the Project manager Ilias Kokotos.
The Eurovision story so far
Moldova debuted in Eurovision in 2005 and has partaken in every year since then. Its best results came in 2017 when Sunstroke Project with Hey Mama finished 3rd. In 2018 the country was represented by DoReDos anf their entry Lucky Day, which finished 10th in the final. In 2019 Anna Odobescu flew the flag in Tel Aviv performing her power ballad “Stay” but despite her amazing vocal performance didn’t make it to the grand final.
Natalia Gordienko won the Moldovan national final with her entry ‘Prison‘ and was to set to represent the nation in Eurovision 2020 but saw her Eurovision journey interrupted as the contest was cancelled due to the covid-19 pandemic.
