Moldova: TRM opens submission window for Eurovision 2020

Moldova’s national broadcaster, TRM, has opened the submission window for entries to represent the country in Eurovision 2020.
Interested act that ambition to represent Moldova in the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, can send in their music proposals to TRM. The deadline for submitting in the applications expires on January 17.
Once the submission deadline expires , live auditions of the candidates will take place in order to find the appropriate act to represent the country. Moldova has been participating in Eurovision continuously since 2005 and hasn’t selected its representative through a national final only in 2007. Ongoing reports that the country will not hold a national final for Eurovision 2020 seem to be confirmed by latest developments.
The Eurovision story so far
Moldova participated in Eurovision for the first time in 2005 and hasn’t missed a year since then. Its best results came in 2017 when Sunstroke Project with Hey Mama finished 3rd. In 2018 the country was represented by DoReDos anf their entry Lucky Day, which finished 10th in the final. In 2019 Anna Odobescu flew the flag in Tel Aviv performing her power ballad “Stay” but despite her amazing vocal performance didn’t make it to the grand final.
