The eagerly expected Netlflix movie “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga” , is out and is availiable on Netflix’s platform.
Netflix’s Eurovision Song Contest movie has finally been released, unwinding on our screens the singing exploits of Lars and Sigrit, together known as Fire Saga, an Icelandic duo, two small-town singers chasing their pop star dreams through the Eurovision Song Contest.
Eurovision Song Contest: The Story Of Fire Saga has been directed by David Dobkin,. In the film, Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams play the two members of the duo Fire Saga which ambitions to bring the trophy back on home soil. Pierce Brosnan plays Ferrell’s disapproving father. Dan Stevens plays a sexy Eurovision rival while the film will see Demi Lovato also in the cast along with UK commentator Graham Norton.
An impressive line uip of Eurovision contestants make cameo appearances in the movie. Making a sing along “pop medley” at a party scene, Eurovision winners Loreen, Alexander Rybak, Conchita Wurst and Netta, alongside with 2019 Swedish Eurovision representative John Lundvik feature the ESC themed movie. In addition, 2016 Eurovision winner Jamala along with France’s 2010 and 2019 representatives Jessy Matador and Bilal Hassani respectively and Estonia’s 2018 act Elina Nechayeva and Moldova’s 2019 entrant Anna Odobescu fill up the puzzle of Eurovision acts contributing to the films case.
Besides the ESC acts and winners , 2006 Swedish Junior Eurovision representative and multi Melodifestivalen finalist, Molly Sandén, will be the singing voice of Rachel McAdams’ character Sigrit Ericksdottir throughout the film.
The film’s official soundtrack goes public
After Ferrell and McAdams’ music video for the soundtrack song “Volcano Man and ahead of the movie’s official release the tracks that are featured in the film have gone public. The soundtrack, of course, includes Volcano Man, which has been already covered by several Eurovision acts.
