MRT, the North Macedonian national broadcaster, has decided not to take part in this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest next November in Warsaw.

North Macedonia follows Australia and Wales in withdrawing from this year’s Junior Eurovision, marking the third country that took part in last year’s edition but won’t return in the 2020 Junior Eurovision. MRT has revealed to Eurovoix that the landlocked country will not participate in the upcoming Junior Eurovision in Poland on Novermer 29, due to the covid-19 pandemic.

Last year in Gliwice-Silesia the nation was represented by Mila Moskov with her song “Fire” which finished 6th, marking the country’s best result since 2008 when they finished 5th.
