Norway: MGP 2020 second semi final entries released
The Norwegian national broadcaster, NRK, revealed the entries to compete in the 2nd semi final of Melodi Grand Prix 2020, January 18.
While a professional jury of experts has already selected 5 acts that have already prequalified to the final, the rest 5 spots in the final will be filled in by the winners of the five semi final rounds. After last week 1st semi final for MGP 2020, the selection moves on to the 2nd semi final round in order to determine one more MGP 2020 finalist .
NRK revealed the competies entries ( Eastern Norway) that will compete in the upcoming 2nd semi final:
- Anna Jæger – “How About Mars”
- Kim Wigaard and Maria Mohn – “Fool for Love”
- Rein Alexander – “One Last Time”
- Tore Petterson – “The Start of Something New”
In this year’s 58th edition of Melodi Grand Prix we will see a total of 25 acts compete in the national selection that will determine Norway’s 60th entry in the Eurovision Song Contest. Grand Prix 2020 kicked off with its first semi final show on January 11, with four more semi finals to follow week by week, leading to the Grand final that will take place on February 15. Each semi final will see a number of 4 competing acts from a specific parts of Norway. From each semi final round one qualifier will join the five pre qualified acts in the final show.
On Saturday’s semi final we will one more act from the prequalified ones. Namely, Didrik & Emil will perform live their competing Grand final entry entitled Out of Air, which will go public on Friday.
