Norway: Tonight, the final of “Melodi Grand Prix 2018”
Tonight, at Oslo Spektrum in the Norwegian capital, Melodi Grand Prix 2018 national final will be held,through which this year’s Norvegian represenantiove at ESC 2018 will come out. Kåre Magnus Bergh and Silya Nymoen will host the show.
About 1,200 applications were submitted to Norwegian public broadcaster,NRK, for MGP, and the following 10 were selected to take part in the grand final:
- Stella & Alexandra – You got me
- Aleksander Walmann – Talk to the hand
- Ida Maria – Scandilove
- Nicoline – Light me up
- Tom Hugo – I like I like I like
- Charla K – Stop the music
- Alejandro Fuentes – Tengo otra
- Vidar Villa – Moren din
- Rebecca – Who we are
- Alexander Rybak – That’s how you write a song
Among the contestants, we will watch the winner of ESC 2009, Alexander Rybak, the country’s representative in 2011, Stella Mwangi (17th place in the semifinal) and last year’s representative, Aleksander Walmann (10th).
The winner will be chosen after 2 rounds of voting. Initially, the 3 entries with the most votes from a joint committe, public and international jury, will qualify to the Superfinal round. The audience will then be asked to vote again and decide which of the three will represent the country at Eurovision 2018.
The final of the Melodi Grand Prix 2018 will start at 19:55 CET and you will be able to watch him HERE.
