Poland: Auditions for ‘Szansa na Sukces: Eurowizja Junior 2021’ scheduled for June 5 & 6
The Polish national broadcaster, TVP, has announced that the auditions for the Junior Eurovision 2021 national selection will take place on June 5 and 6.
Poland will be selecting their Junior Eurovision 2021 hopeful via the third edition of the show Szansa na Sukces. TVP will be holding on June 5 and 6 the auditions after which the contestants of this year’s JESC national selection semi finals will be determined.
From each semi final show one act will advance to the final in which jury and public voting will determine the next Polish Junior Eurovision representative.
Latest reports mention Sara Egwu James, the winner of the latest season of The Voice Kids Poland , as a potential contestant, which is not a surprise as the show has seen in the past several contestants of the Voice participate among which Viki Gabor (2019) and Ala Tracz (2020) but Sara will be the first winner to take part.
The dates and shcedule of the show will be revealed over the next weeks. During September is more likely for the show to unfold.
The Story so far
Poland debuted in the contest in 2003 but stayed out of it the years 2005 – 2015. In 2018 Roksana Węgiel achieved the country’s first victory in Minsk, Belarus with her entry Anyone I Want To Be.
Through Szansa na Sukces in 2019 Poland selected Viki Gabor who triumped at Junior Eurovision 2019 with her song “Superhero“ in Gliwice- Silesia giving Poland its 2nd consecutive victory. Through the same show was determined the Junior Eurovision 2020 hopeful Ala Tracz who sang “I’ll Be Standing” and came 9th with 90 points.
