Poland: On the 3rd of March Krajowe Eliminacje 2018.
Poland’s broadcaster TVP, announced that the national final, Krajowe Eliminacje , for choosing the song that will represent the country at upcoming Eurovision Song Contest will be held on the 3rd of March. It will be aired live by TVP 1 at 21:30 CET. The deadline for Krajowe Eliminacje’s candidates expires on 1st of February.
The Krajowe Eliminacje was held for first time in 2003 and since then the country has chosen its Eurovision participants through this way of national selection. The country opted for a internal selection in 2005, 2014 and 2015.
Poland participated in the competition for the first time in 1994. Edyta Gorniak represented the country performing a song in her native language, To nie ja, achieving a 2nd place on the scoreboard. In 2017 Poland was represented by Kasia Moś with the song Flashlight. Although she managed to qualify to the big final, she finished in 22nd place at the Grand Final.
