Portugal: Festival da Canção 2022 acts and entries released
The Portuguese national broadcaster, RTP, released the songs as well as the singers of the upcoming national final Festival da Canção 2022.
A total of 20 acts and songs will take part in this year’s national selection, which will take place in three nights, two semifinals on March 5 and 7 and on March 12, 2022 the grand final. 10 contestants will compete in each semifinal round with 5 of them advancing to the grand final.
The result of the final will be determined by 50% public voting and 50% jury voting.
The Portuguese national broadcaster released today the songs that we will see in this year’s national selection for Eurovision 2022.

Portugal in Eurovision
Portugal has been taking part in the Eurovision Song contest since 1964 and has won the contest one time in 2017 with Salvador Sobral and the song ”Amar pelos dois”.
In 2021 Portugal represented by The Black Mamba who sang ”Love Is on My Side” finishing 12th in the final with 153 points.
