Portugal: Rita Laranjeira to fly the flag in Junior Eurovision 2018
Rita Laranjeira will be the next Portuguese representative in the upcoming Junior Eurovision 2018 next November in Minsk,Belarus.
The 13 year old Rita was announced as the next Junior Eurovison 2018 act during the TV program on RTP1, Agora Nos. The young artist was selected by a professional jury which had to decide from a total of 10 candidates.
RTP has already opened the process of song submissions for Rita , who will record the song in the studio the following days. Additionally, the official video clip of the song will be released , a development that didn’t take place last year.
Portugal in Junior Eurovision
Portugal debuted at Junior Eurovision back in 2006 and not very long after (2 years) withdrew from the contest. She made a come back after 10 years of absense and was represented by Mariana Venancio and her song You Tuber which finished in 14th place.
