Portugal: Salvador gets discharged from hospital.

The news for last year’s Eurovision winner, Salvador Sobral,  and his health condition are eventually positive. Through a post on his official Instagram account, the artist’s team informed the public that the Portuguese singer was discharged from hospital on 11/01 and he will continue recovering home.   

Salvador was without doubt one of this year’s personalities that draw massive attention. His Eurovision victory with the retro song Amor Pelos Dois, composed by his sister  Louisa, certainly caught a lot of attention around the world and even more among fans of the contest.

His health problems appeared to trouble from the beginning as his doctor had forbidden him to attend the two week of rehearsals in Kiev. However, after his victory in Ukraine, his health problem deteriorated forcing him to interrupt his tour and as he stated “to leave his body in the hands of science” , since he was suffering from severe heart failure.

Fortunately on December 9  a compatible transplant was found and he underwent surgery. After a long time in intensive care and after a whole month in hospital Salvador was sent home on January 11.

His post on Instagram mentions the following:

” The singer is recovering without any complications. As usual, in cases of transplanting after surgery, the restriction for coming in touch with people is maintained  . We thank you all of respecting Salvador’s privacy. Σας ευχαριστούμε ήδη για το σεβασμό της ιδιωτικότητας του Salvador.  Don’t need to hug him. He already feels being hugged by everyone. Soon we will have news about his comeback on stage . We thank you all for your kindness and understanding”
