Portugal : The 2nd semi-final results of Festival da Canção 2018

The second semi-final of the Festival da Canção 2018, the Portuguese way of finding this year’s representative for Eurovision song contest, finished few minutes ago.

The second semi-final, as well as the first, took place in  RTP’s studio in Lisbon and was hosted by Sónia Araújo and Tania Ribas de Oliveira. A total of 13 candidates took part in tonight’s show,  out of which 7 won the ticket for the Grand Final. The winners were decided by a mixed system of 50% by telecasting and 50% by the votes of a jury consisting of: Júlio Isidro Ana Maria Bacalhau (singer), Carlão (singer), Luísa Sobral (composer of 2017 Amar Pelos Dois), Sara Tavares (Portuguese representative in 1994), Ana Markl (radio producer) Mário Lopes (journalist), Tozé Brito (composer) and António Avelar Pinho (composer) .

The 13  competingsongs of the second semi-final were performed as following:

Maria Inês Paris – Bandeira Azul

Dora Fidalgo – Arco-Íris

Sequin – All Over Again

Diogo Piçarra – Canção do Fim

David Pessoa – Amor Veloz

Tamin – Sobre Nós

Cláudia Pascoal – O Jardim

Minnie & Rhayra – Patati Patata

Rita Marques – Anda Daí

Susana Travassos – A Mensageira

Lili – O Voo das Cegonhas

Daniela Onís – Para Lá do Rio

Peter Serrado – Sunset

Out of the 13 candidates, only 7 were eligible and these are:

Diogo Piçarra – Canção do Fim

Cláudia Pascoal – O Jardim

Maria Inês Paris – Bandeira Azul

David Pessoa – Amor Veloz

Minnie & Rhayra – Patati Patata

Lili – O Voo das Cegonhas

Peter Serrado – Sunset
