A five-member jury opted for WRS and his song “Llámame” and he also finished 2nd in the televoting. The difference from the first candidate in televote was only 240 votes which weren’t enough to deprive WRS of the win.

WRS will qualify in the second semi-final, on May 12,2022 and appears in the 13th place.

This year, Romania hopes to qualify to the final for the first time since 2017. In 2021 ROXEN with the song “Amnesia” represented Romania but failed to qualify to the final.
