San Marino: Achille Lauro selected for Eurovision 2022

Achille Lauro is the big winner of national final Una voce per San Marino and will represent San Marino at Eurovision 2022 with the song “Stripper”.

The presenters of the show were Senhit, last year San Marino’s representative in Amsterdam. and Jonathan Kashanian. The guest star of the show was Al Bano, the representative of Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1976 & 1985. A total of 18 contestants qualified to compete in the final of Una voce per San Marino.

The 18 contestants who took the stage tonight were:

3.Alessia Labate – “World Falls Down”

4.Burak Yeter ft. Alessandro Coli – “More Than You”

5.Camille Cabaltera – “Move ‘Em Like You Never Did”

6.Cristina Ramos – “Heartless Game”

7.Elena & Francesco Faggi – “Nothing Can Blow Me Out”

8.Fabry & Labiuse feat. Miodio – “Blu”

9.Francesco Monte – “Mi ricordo di te (Adrenalina)”

10.Ivana Spagna – “Seriously in Love”

11.Kurt Cassar – “Tears of Gold”

12.Maria Chiara Leoni – “Tiramisù”

13.Mate – “DNA”

14.Matteo Faustini – “L’ultima parola”

15.Sebastian Schmidt – “Running”

16.Tony Cicco, Deshedus & Alberto Fortis – “Sono un uomo”

17.Valerio Scanu – “Io credo”

18.Vina Rose – “Sweet Denial”

The winner was determined entirely by a jury consisting of the following members:

  • Mogol – Jury’s president
  • Simon Lee – conductor and composer
  • Clarissa Martinelli – Radio Bruno host
  • Susanne Georgi – Andorra’s ESC 2009 act
  • Dino Stewart – BMG Italy’s director

According to the votes of the jury, Achille Lauro came first and will represent San Marino in Turin, in second place came Burak Yeter & Alessandro Coli, while Aaron Sibley closed the top 3 places.

Achille will compete at Eurovision 2022  in the first half of the second semi final show on May 12 in Turin.
