Serbia: RTS opens submission window for Eurovision 2022 national selection

RTS, Serbia’s national broadcaster, has opened its application window for representing the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Italy.

Following the official confirmation of the country’s participation in Eurovision 2022 in May, today the RTS, Serbia’s national broadcaster opened the submission window on its official website for all composers and songwriters interested in representing Serbia in Italy.

Applications should be sent on the official RTS website and fill out the corresponding form online by December 1, 2021.

In case the national final is canceled due to the conditions of Covid-19, then it will be chosen through internal procedures who will represent the country in Italy.

In addition, the Serbian broadcaster, RTS, published the rules and conditions of participation in the competition for the Serbian national selection of Eurovision 2022.

Once the submission period is over, the Serbian broadcaster, RTS, will evaluate the submitted entries and select the best ones for the national final. If RTS deems that the level of participation does not meet its expectations, then the Serbian broadcaster has the right to choose through internal procedures who will represent the country in Italy in May.

Serbia In Eurovision 

Serbia participated as an independent state in the contest in 2007, a year which the country was crowned winner with Marija Šerifović and her entry Molitva.

This year Serbia represented by Hurricane who sang ‘Loco Loco’ which finished 15th place with 102 points.
