Slovenia: Ana Soklič releases revamped version of “Voda”
Ana Soklič was the act to represent Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam performing the song “Voda”. However, the contest was cancelled due to the Coronavirus crisis and left Ana without the chance to perform in Rotterdam Ahoy.
Ana won the Slovenian national final, EMA 2020, last month with her entry “Voda” winning the ticket to Rotterdam but unfornately her Eurovision journey reached to an early end after the contest’s cancellation. However, Ana, as initially scheduled had been working on a new version of the song with the Budapest Art Orchestra. Following EBU’s decision that all Eurovision 2020 entries will not be eligible to compete at Eurovision 2021 , the Slovenian broadcaster, RTVSLO, hasn’t yet revealed whether it will continue in next year edition with Ana or will select a new representative via the EMA national final format.
