Slovenia: Ana Soklič wins EMA 2020 and will fly the flag in Rotterdam
One more Eurovision representative was determined tonight, as Slovenia selected its Eurovision 2020 act and entry with the final of ΕΜΑ 2020. Big winner of this evening’s final show was Ana Soklič who will represent Slovenia in Rotterdam with the song Voda.
A total of 12 acts took to the stage and battled for the golden ticket to Rotterdam. Ten of the finalists were selected among 74 submissions at the national broadcaster RTVSLO, while two finalists were determined through the EMA FREŠ competition. The show took place in Ljubljana and was hosted by Klemen Slakonja.
The 12 acts that performed on the stage this evening were:

- Klara Jazbec – Stop the World
- Imset – Femme Fatale
- Lina Kuduzović – Man Like U
Among the candidates we saw were , Tinkara Kovač which represented Slovenia in ESC 2014 with the song Round and Round finishing 25th. Notable the particicpation of Lina Kuduzović which represented Slovenia at Junior Eurovision το 2015 finishing 3rd and the participation of InMate who also competed in EMA 2019 ending in the 7th place.
The final result was determined through two rounds of voting. In the first round a three member jury selected two acts to advance to the superfinal. The two acts that qualified to the Super final round were:
Here are the televoting results of the superfinal round that crowned Ana winner and the next Slovenian representative: Then the public vote took over and decided which of the two super finalists will fly to Rotterdam next May. The audience decided that Ana Soklič should represent the country with the song “Voda” at Eurovision 2020.
