Söngvakeppnin 2018 for Iceland

Iceland has already confirmed the participation in Eurovision 2018 and preparations for Söngvakeppnin are set on sale.
In 2018, Söngvakeppnin will once more have two semi final shows (10 and 17 of February). 12 songs will take part in the two shows and 6 of them will move on to the Final show. Jury votes (50%) and televoting (50%) will decide which 6 songs will take the tickets for the Final Show. For the 6 remaining songs, one more will participate in the grand final, as a special jury will choose the 7th finalists. The Final show will be held on the 3rd of March. The songs on the final shows has to be performed in Icelandic and in the Final show as they will be presented in Eurovision.
Artists and composers who wish to submit their songs, may cast their participation until the 20th of October 23:59 local time.
Svala with her song paper represented Iceland in Ukraine and failed to move on to the Grand Final for the 3rd time in row.
