Spain 2018: Some last details about the national final competing songs.
Next Tuesday , January 23, the Spanish national broadcaster RTVE, will air a special TV show during which the 5 national final songs for the five Operacion Triunfo finalists will be presented. One of these five songs will represent Spain in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest next May in Lisbon.
The talent show’s teachers will hand the songs to the finalists, who will meet the composers of the songs and with who they ‘ll have to collaborate with, in order to configure their performance and staging the national final night on January 29. The songs will be released the afternoon at 4 pm CET.
The three artists that have been eliminated on previous round (Cepeda, Roi και Nerea) will take part in the show alongside with Ana Guerra or Agoney, depending on who of the two will qualify and be the 5th finalist, a fact that we will know on Monday. The performer Zahara will be present at Tuedsay’s show and two journalists related to TV shows and the Eurovision song Contest, Juanma Fernandez and Alfredo Murillo.
All the people mentioned so far, will be able to comment on the songs and the performances, expressing their opinion of which entry must fly to Lisbon. Additionally, the audience can take part in the show by sending questions and making comments using the Hashtag #OTvisión . The show will be aired live on RTVE.es and on Operacion Triunfo’s and Eurovision official accounts in Facebook and RTVE Youtube channel.
The last time Spain chose its Eurovision representative through Operacion Triunfo, was in 2004 with Ramón who was selected to sing Para llenarme de ti in Istanbul and achieved a 10th place in the Final.
